Ivano La Montagna was born in Acerra (NA) on 09/18/1973. He graduated in architecture from the “Federico II” University of Naples. In 2007, in the same university, he obtained a PhD in ‘History of Architecture and the City’ with a thesis, then published, on Aldo Rossi and Rational Architecture. Among the major works in the architectural field there is the restoration on the drum and the dome of the Cathedral of Acerra. After the Specialization he teaches art in Umbria (moving between Spoleto, Foligno and Todi) lucky guest of what he has always considered his master of choice: the painter SURREALIST Ugo Levita. He currently lives and works in his hometown. Without neglecting the art of building, since 2008 he has returned to dealing with visual arts with greater continuity and intensity, experimenting both on the side of Digital Art and on that of ‘traditional’ graphic techniques. A long course of studies / research, above all of itself, gives shape to works in which anthropology, painting, cinema, photography, architecture and
literature meet on a oneiric-ironic territory, they contaminate and transmute. The last piece of a multi-faceted profile comes from the cinema, with the care for the scenography for a feature film. The Bolognese art historian Anna Rita Delucca wrote about him.
